The power supply

Nowadays, the most widely used power supply in electric vehicles is lead-acid battery. However, with the development of electric vehicle technology, lead-acid battery is gradually replaced by other batteries due to its low specific energy, slow charging speed and short service life. Drive motor

The role of the drive motor is to convert the electrical energy of the power supply into mechanical energy, through the transmission device or directly drive the wheels and working devices. Dc series motors are widely used in today's electric vehicles, which have "soft" mechanical characteristics and are very consistent with the driving characteristics of cars. However, dc motor because of commutation spark, small specific power, low efficiency, maintenance workload, with the development of motor technology and motor control technology, is bound to gradually be replaced by DC brushless motor (BCDM), switched reluctance motor (SRM) and AC asynchronous motor.

Motor speed control device

Motor speed control device is set for the electric car speed and direction change, its role is to control the voltage or current of the motor, complete the motor drive torque and rotation direction control.

In previous electric vehicles, dc motor speed regulation is achieved by series resistance or changing the number of turns of the motor's magnetic field coil. Because its speed is graded, and will produce additional energy consumption or the use of motor structure is complex, has rarely used today. Nowadays, the SCR chopper speed regulation is widely used in electric vehicles, which realizes stepless speed regulation by changing the terminal voltage of the motor evenly and controlling the current of the motor. From the perspective of technological development, with the application of new driving motor, the speed control of electric vehicle is transformed into the application of DC inverter technology, which will become an inevitable trend.

In the control of drive motor's spin transformation, dc motor relies on contactor to change the current direction of armature or magnetic field to achieve the motor's spin transformation, which makes the Circuit complex and reliability reduced. When the ac asynchronous motor is used, the change of the motor's steering only needs to change the phase sequence of the three phase current of the magnetic field, which can simplify the control circuit. In addition, the use of AC motor and its frequency conversion speed control technology makes the braking energy recovery control of electric vehicles more convenient, more simple control circuit.
